Issue
No super contribution message or rejection email
Cause
If any of the information in Class and in the client's payroll system is not matching, a rejection email will be sent.
Resolution
The default setting for the Electronic Service Address (ESA) for all super funds on Class is "smsfdataflow".
In order for the fund to receive contribution messages via this ESA when the employer makes contributions, the following three (3) pieces of information in Class and in the client's employer payroll system (or super clearing house) must match:
- ESA: smsfdataflow - must be all lower case
- Fund ABN
- Fund TFN (if provided)
Prerequisites
Employer contributions for funds loaded onto Class Super, using the default Electronic Service Address (ESA), will be automatically fed into the fund as long as the following conditions are met:
- The Employer sends an electronic message using smsfdataflow as the ESA and the electronic message contains the correct member name, date of birth (DOB), tax file number (TFN) and superannuation fund's Australian Business number (ABN).
- The Fund details in Class include the correct member name, DOB, TFN and ABN.
- The Business to which the Funds belongs in Class not changed the Business Default SuperStream Provider
- The Funds SuperStream provider settings has not been changed from SMSF Dataflow.
If any of the information is not matching, smsfdataflow (Class) will send a rejection email to the payroll department (or super clearing house).
How to troubleshoot
In the rejection email, it will clearly state which piece of information is causing the message to be rejected.
- Obtain the rejection email or message from the payroll department.
- If the email cannot be located ask payroll to check again in the next month.
